Is therea any know workaround? I searched online but can't solve it...maybe this could be something https://github.com/rclone/rclone/issues/7864 ?

I would probably reach out to Proton and ask them if they can tweak throttling / abuse mechanism on your account.
They've initially wasn't happy about Rclone integration (and blocked accounts), but in the end officially said it's fine as long as it's not overly agressive: https://www.reddit.com/r/rclone/comments/1d2pm6p/comment/l6albgs
With connection to Proton we rely on Rclone, which then relies on this component: https://github.com/henrybear327/Proton-API-Bridge
It seems it hasn't been updated for quite a while.
If Proton community/users would like to use reliable Rclone connection then they need to lobby to both Proton (to maintain official integration with Rclone) and support projects like Proton API bridge.

Wow! I read all the answers that Andy gave, and it's mind-blowing. I hope it gets integrated ASAP. Like he mentioned, they are in contact with the Rclone bridge developer, which sounds good!
Interestingly Rclone bridge developer is their past employee which left in Februrary 2023 and built this integration in September 2023: https://github.com/henrybear327/Proton-API-Bridge
We hope they can find common way to improve this piece code.
If this guy can create such bridge outside work hours than imagine what he can do if they would rehire him (edited)

Here is the answer they gave me after I explicit ask to whitelist the Rclone app version for my account:
In short, our colleague has checked your login attempts in regard to the Drive app, and have found that our system has blocked the login attempt, where it should have verified the log; moving forward, they have whitelisted your login attempt, so you shouldn't experience the same issue.
